Omgggg we are almost there!!!!  Carpet, a YARD!  Things that still need done:  the painting of the front door to match the shutters and painting all of the white on the front of the house the same color as the trim around the house...so the pillars, and the trim around the garage and windows.  The inside needs to be pai ted as well.  They measured for the granite countertops and those should go in Monday and then the rest of the appliances.  We had to get our own fridge, so I am excited to finally have a fridge with water and ice!  Our fridge space in our current house is super small so we were limited on what we could have.  Packing and moving things is exhausting.  I can't wait for Tuesday night.  I will be on "vacation" and I will be climbing into the hotel bed and not moving until I absolutely must haha.  Which will be nice and early to take the boys to school but whatev.  Final walk through will be Friday and we will be closing the following Monday!!!!   I love this house. I am so excited to have a walk in shower, a giant closet, and more than 1 bathroom.  We have 2 half baths here but we always just ended up using the one.  I sure will miss my neighbors though.  That will be the hardest part.  We have great neighbors here (except the people that never cut their grass and have 22 cats.  That is not an exaggeration.)  Here are some pictures!
So everywhere you still see white will be painted that cream color except the front door which will match the shutters

Close up of the color.  I just love it.  So my style

A pic of our side/back yard. A lot bigger than I thought!  Advantages of a corner lot!

This is a view of our walk in closet. I wish you could see the whole thing. I love it

Our pantry!  Say what?!  We had NO space here.  Now we have plenty. I can go to Sam's now!!

Kitchen lighting is in and hardware on the cupboards!

Beware...wet paint!

Well it is my late week for work, so I don't get off til 7.  Which means it is dark then.  Which means it is harder to sneak through the house when the electricity is not on.  And what does that mean?  It means one shouldn't sneak around construction sites in the dark. They painted doors and trim today apparently because this girl right here stepped in wet paint and tracked it through the house haha.  Oops!  They caught me!
Thankfully there was a covering on the floors they did do and Steve used a tissue I had in my pocket to swipe it off the new tile in the mudroom.  What a dummy I am!  Note to self, do not visit house in the dark anymore.
But....we have a mantle, some light fixtures, the recessed lighting is in, and the microwave is installed.  And all the doors have been painted hahaha  I probably won't go back until Saturday morning when I can see.  Plus we still have so much to pack at this house!!!  6 more days until we have to be out!!!!
 Our first appliance is in!
Why do men always leave their empty garbage lying around?

Tile in the mudroom.  See the spots I got on it with my shoes hahaha

Sweet updates!

They sure have been busy at our house!  Kitchen cabinets are in, they just need the hardware installed.  Showers and sinks are in, trim is almost done, and they have started the tile!  They also poured thr driveway.  Meanwhile at 370 Millet Lane, we have a Pod sitting in our driveway waiting to be filled.  It is going to be a busy week for us, folks!  Here are some pics!

Shutters, garage door, and stonework!

Siding, stonework, shutters, and garage door!  While I am super excited by all of that, I am sad that I won't be able to sneak into the house anymore!!!  It's ok though...that much closer to move in!  They have changed our closing date to November 6th so a few more days in a hotel, but it's ok.  Better than a few weeks!  Also the trim over the garage and Windows will be painted and the front door will match the shutters.  Getting there!!!

Siding and drywall!

The squeaky wheel gets the grease!  That is what my high school band director taught me.  As you know, I am pretty shy and also pretty much a doormat.  You could walk all over me and I would smile and be like "ok cool, what else can I do for you?"  But after they told us that we would likely be moving in more than a month later than we were originally told, I got a little bold.  I told them that we had no place to go and would have to live in a hotel for 3 weeks and I told them that I work from home and would have no way of working.  (A little bit of a white lie, I could probably drive into Robinson but I hate the parkway).  They got back to me and moved our closing day to November 5th!!!!!  So only 2 or 3 nights in a hotel.  We still have to move all of our stuff into storage for a few days which is extremely inconvenient, but it is what it is.  I will take it!

We snuck into the house again tonight!  They have been busy since I lit a fire under their hineys.  We have some siding up and they poured the cement for my front porch that I have always wanted!  Drywall is up too!  Electrical is all done.

We have been busy signing 10 thousand documents too.  Our appraisal came back and it appraised for what we paid, so I think that's good?  We locked in our interest rate which isn't as low as it was when we refinanced our first house years ago, but it is what it is.  All in all, our house payment will be about a thousand more a month than it is now. Jinkies.

Here are some pics!

The whole front porch will be stone.  That is what is sitting in front of the house.  The front door will eventually be a dark gray to match the shutters (that are not on yet obviously)

Fresh cement!  Really resisted the urge to put our initials in it!

When I was little and would visit my uncle in Florida, he had windows like this. I always said I wanted "Florida windows" one day.  And now I have one!

A close up of the siding color. It is called Irish Thistle and I LOVE it

Ben writing his name in the dust on the window.  This is upstairs hallway.  We upgraded to the wooden balisters where the wood is now instead of a solid wall.  I am so glad I switched thst, I really would have regretted it.  (Thanks mom, she pushed me to, dad said no haha)
