Pics of the Inside!

Today was our pre-drywall walk through.  I was a little irked that they estimated it would be done mid to end of November but when we were talking at the end and the project manager asked where I worked, I mentioned that I used to work in Magee's NICU.  All 3 of his children were there for 2 months and I think he is going to work extra hard now to get it done faster.  Wishful thinking?  Probably....but he was really fortunate for the care they received.  And everyone loves NICU nurses, right?  So that felt good.  Anyways later after they all left, Ben and I got a sneak peek.  Looks like they put a lot of insulation in and all the electrical is done.  Here are some pics!!  They are all out of order.  Ha

Coming together!

What a week it has been!  My ear pain got worse and worse, shooting up into my head and down into my neck.  I got light headed and dizzy and even my tongue went numb.  An emergency room trip and a ton of meds later, I am a little better.  But look at the house!!!  So exciting to see things coming together!!!  They are working on the heating and cooling elements next.  We closed on our current house on Monday, so right now, we are renters in our own home.  So weird!  Here are some recent pics!

Framing the Florence!

Things seemed to be going slowly....they were working on the foundation and installing some plumbing, but we continued making progress!! Here is a pic of Andy standing in the basement last weekend!

Then, we had 3736289 straight days of rain.  I was bummed.  Then I started getting terrible ear/throat/jaw pain (which I still have) and med express just said it was inflammation which annoyed me.  And today was a looonnng work day.  So with the shooting pain, Andy throwing homework tantrums, Ben going to the nurse AGAIN,  and the long work day.....I was SUPER excited to see this today!

Now, the east coast is bracing for a category 4 hurricane named Florence.  And our home model is called the Florence.  So my wish for the week is that we all see more of the Greene Drive Florence and none of the nasty hurricane one.  Fingers crossed!  Rain, stay away!!!!  Once they get the house under roof, we will have a better idea if we will be homeless come Oct 31st when we must be out of our old house.  Reallllly hoping it is done!

Inside pics!

Well we have been busy!  We have been here almost 2 weeks and still have a garage full of boxes to unpack...but we are getting there!  Both ...
