Well, I haven't updated in awhile mainly because there is nothing to update!  They were supposed to break ground mid July.  They didn't break ground until last week.  Unfortunately since that first day, they haven't done anything.  So there is literally a pile of dirt on our lot.  It is really disappointing because we sold our house and we must be out by October 31st.  It isn't like we can easily move in with family.  The boys will be in school and our family is an hour away.  Not to mention we will have to rent another storage unit to put all of our furniture in, and move all of our things multiple times instead of once.  It would have been nice to have a realistic timeline.  So I am a little frustrated to say the least.  I don't want to complain because I want it done right and I don't want it rushed because this is costing us a lot of money, but I wish they had been truthful with us from the beginning.  The other main issue is that I work from home!  If I have no home, I have to go to the Robinson office every day which is going to really complicate things.  So my stress level is a bit high at the moment haha.
The second not so great thing is that we have some pricey repairs to make to our current home for the buyers.  Finishing our deck is going to run us 1100 dollars and we were quoted at least another 1100 to fix things in the basement bathroom.  It's been a rough week. haha  I have faith that things will work out, but that doesn't take the day to day stress away now.  Every evening we go to see the progress on the house and every day we see that same dirt pile.  We might be in sleeping bags on our lot come November 1st!  We close on our current house on Sept 17th, so the buyers are allowing us to "rent back" our home until the end of October, which is nice.

I do have to say this.  Had I known that this process was this stressful, I don't know that I could do it again.  The end result will be great but right now, the stress is crazy.  Our car/mortgage insurance lady said "if you stay married through building a house, it is a good marriage"  and boy I get it now!  Not that Steve and I are arguing, but I know I have become a demon woman, especially after our nightly visits.  haha

I will end with this.  Our project manager is Dave.  Ben was in the back seat after we had just visited the lot and he said I am gonna call Dave and say "Hey bub, you know whats bald?  You....and our lot!" hahahaha  I am glad he made me laugh because I needed it!!
